Amazon Announces Temporary Halt On Non-Essential Products

Amazon has announced that they are “temporarily prioritizing household staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products coming into our fulfillment centers so that we can more quickly receive, restock, and deliver these products to customers.”

For items similar to the ones stated above, Amazon is temporarily disabling any shipment creation actions for sellers and retail vendors alike.

This decision is active today (3/17/2020) and will be in effect until April 5th, 2020.

This news comes just after the announcement that Amazon will be adding 100,000 jobs to help facilitate the influx of online orders it is experiencing.

Amazon appears to be streamlining its infrastructure and doing all it can to help combat the coronavirus.
