Here is what is free:
Fee waivers on up to 500 new-to-FBA parent ASINs the seller creates. Note: If you create more than 500 new-to-FBA parent ASINs, you cannot remove ASINs from the eligible list just to qualify the new ASINs for fee waivers.
The 500-parent-ASIN limit is reset at the start of each new calendar year starting January 1.
Free monthly storage for the first 50 units of each new parent ASIN for 90 days after the first unit is received at a fulfillment center. Note: The first 50 units of each eligible ASIN does not mean you can only send 50 or fewer units to fulfillment centers at a time; you can still send as many units as you like.
Free removal of any of those first 50 units within 180 days after the first inventory-received date.
Free returns processing for five product categories, up to 50 units of each parent ASIN received at a fulfillment center within 120 days of the first inventory-received date:
Apparel
Shoes, Handbags, and Accessories
Jewelry
Luggage
Watches.
For new FBA sellers only: The first $100 in charges for Amazon partnered carrier shipping is waived. ASINs do not have to be new to FBA. Note: This fee waiver can carry over to the next calendar year of the program until you reach the $100 threshold.
FBA New Selection Program Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for Amazon sellers are as follows:
You must be a Professional seller approved by Amazon.
Professional sellers must have an IPI score 400 or higher. Note: New Professional sellers, or sellers yet to be assigned an IPI score, are still eligible to enroll in the program and receive benefits as long as they maintain eligibility status.
You must enroll; enrollment must be approved by Amazon.
Eligibility requirements for the first 500 created ASINs:
Must be new to FBA
A parent ASIN not previously enrolled in FBA within the last 180 days
In one of the specified categories; not media or used
Small standard or large standard-sized
Must be received at an Amazon fulfillment center
The fine print: Amazon can change or cancel the program by providing participants with 30 days notice. The details above are current as of January 1, 2021.
How to Enroll
To enroll in the FBA New Selection Program, go to your Seller Central dashboard:
Click Settings found in the top right-hand corner
Verify your eligibility (new to selling on Amazon, Professional seller registered for FBA) under the Your Services section of the Seller Account Information page. If you are in fact eligible but Your Services does not indicate you have a Professional account and/or are not registered for FBA, click Manage and upgrade this information.
Go to the search bar field in the top right hand corner and type: FBA New Selection Program and press Enter or the magnifying glass.
On the program page, click the Enroll Now button.
Notes:
Enrollment does not guarantee Amazon will accept you in the program. Typically an account review takes two days or so before you can expect notification whether you are enrolled.
If you are not eligible to receive program benefits because your IPI score is below 400, you may become eligible on the next daily assessment date once your IPI score hits 400 or higher.
